Extended day care services are offered from 7:00 a.m. until school starts for those who come to school early and the afternoon daycare begins from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Smile/Safe Kids Program – Students are provided with a Smile /Safe Kids Identification Card with proper information and instructions on what to do when the child is ever lost.
The school administration undertakes and abides by the directives of the extended care program. Its primary purpose is to offer close supervision for school children. The extended care follows the same school philosophy and goals. The main objective of the extended care program is to offer a service for parents to ensure supervision of their children.
The Principal provides parents written instruction upon enrollment. The financial operation of the Extended Care Program is carried out by the school administration. The fees are $3.00 from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and $ 5.00 until 6:00 p.m. A fee of $ 5.00 for every fraction of a minute is due on the day that the services have been rendered to your child after 6:00 p.m.
The Principal is responsible for the recruitment, employment, and if required, the termination of supervising personnel.
The extended care room is in the school hall. The room is a classroom that is well ventilated. It is equipped with a refrigerator, tables, chairs, cabinets for storage, microwave, VCR, telephone, inside / outdoor games, art supplies.
As well-qualified Day Care personnel coordinator and another aide are employed to coordinate the program which functions under the same school guidelines.
The hours for the extended care are from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. for the afternoon session. During after school hours, the children who attend extended care follow the school Emergency Policy for earthquakes and fire drill.
The children are offered arts and crafts, games and sports activities based on the age groups. Homework is done before participating in activities.
